Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in a Comprehensive Eye and Vision Exam?
At Envision Optometry, our comprehensive eye exams go beyond routine checkups. We use advanced diagnostic technology – including Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), Optomap Ultra-Widefield Retinal Imaging, and Digital Visual Field Analyzers – to evaluate your eye health with precision.
Your exam includes:
- Digital OCT and Optomap/ Retinal imaging
- Eye pressure screening for glaucoma
- A review of your visual needs and medical history
- A complete vision and eye health assessment
- Digital/Manual refraction for accurate prescriptions
- Personalized recommendations and a copy of your prescription
Our goal is to ensure you leave fully informed and confident about your vision and eye health.
How often should I schedule an eye exam?
Regular eye exams are vital at every age. Children should have their first eye exam by age 3 — or earlier if vision concerns arise. Adults are encouraged to have an exam every one to two years, and seniors may need more frequent visits to monitor for progressive yet treatable conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, and macular degeneration.
What makes Envision Optometry different from other eye clinics?
We are locally owned and operated by our optometrists, and not by large multinational corporate entities. We combine state-of-the-art technology with a personalized, caring approach. Our optometrists take time to understand your needs, explain results clearly, and tailor treatment for your unique lifestyle. Should advanced care be needed, we can coordinate referrals to trusted ophthalmologists for specialized management.
Does Envision Optometry offer emergency or urgent eye care?
Yes. Our optometrists are usually available seven days a week for urgent eye issues such as injuries, infections, pain, or sudden vision changes. If you experience symptoms like flashes, floaters, or sudden vision loss, contact us immediately to request and schedule a timely appointment for prompt medical attention.
